Luke brings over six years of trade recruitment experience, supported by a diverse background across trades, youth services and zoological work.
Having worked with people from many different industries and walks of life, Luke has developed a strong understanding of what motivates people, why they stay, why they leave and what separates a strong long-term hire from the wrong fit.
At Trial By Fire, Luke leads strategy, client relationships, fulfilment systems and business growth. His focus is on practical recruitment outcomes, transferable skills and building long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

James is the trade authority behind Trial By Fire.
A qualified carpenter and Director of Onestop Shopfitting & Joinery, James has spent years on the tools delivering high-end residential work, shopfitting installs and custom cabinetry.
He understands the pressure of deadlines, client expectations, site conditions, production standards and the constant challenge of finding reliable people.
James still runs Onestop day to day, while supporting Trial By Fire with technical insight, candidate vetting and practical client guidance.
His role is simple: help make sure the people we represent can actually do the work and understand the environments they are walking into.
When a client needs advice from someone who knows the trade firsthand, James is the person we turn to.

Before joining Trial By Fire, he owned and operated an upholstery business, managing quoting, production, customer service and daily operations.
That experience gives him a practical understanding of what small and growing businesses need from the people they hire. He knows how much the right worker can help a business move forward, and how much pressure the wrong fit can create.
At Trial By Fire, Arif leads new business development, outreach and sales strategy. He is responsible for connecting with new clients, understanding their hiring needs and making sure our message reaches the right people.
